Tip of the Week
|
|
Start up your Training Season Because it is a new year, we need to start it with the best positive attitude, new goals, bigger events, better environment. Training under a program is very important to avoid oertraining and prevent any injuries. Look for a certified coach, and explain to him/her what you really want or need, so he/her can help you setting a program just for you. The other one, is registration for an event, the sooner the better, why? because if you register for a race, you already have to commit to do it, and that translates on serious training. So after you finish reading these tips, go and look for that event you’ve been wanting to do! Keep it fun, enjoy this new season and all your goals will happen for you. You gotta love all the smiles and emotional tears crossing the finish line! Go for it with no fear!

August - Rajesh Durbal
Rajesh knows what it is like to be challenged. He was born without legs and only one arm…As a young boy growing up he was constantly teased and ridiculed: an outcast amongst his own peers.
As a result he tried to hide himself in baggy loose fitted clothing in the hopes to blend in.
The pressure was so great that Rajesh remembers being suicidal.
At the age of 12, Rajesh found the athlete that was waiting to emerge. He became involved with downhill slalom skiing and started his journey into finding himself: the real person that was inside the body…
Rajesh will be in South Carolina doing a 70.3. end of August and then in Hawaii finishing off his training for his biggest goal this year, Ford Ironman World Championship.
